Another storm system is approaching

High-elevation areas of Bergen, Passaic and Sussex counties could get a brief period of snow, sleet or freezing rain Wednesday night into early Thursday morning before it all changes to plain rain. the weather service says a combination of light snow and a light glaze of ice could make for slippery roads, walkways and parking lots, especially in areas above 1,000 feet in elevation.

Temperatures Expected to drop

Daytime highs on Friday and Saturday will range from the upper 20s to low 30s in northern New Jersey to the mid- to upper 30s in southern New Jersey. Morning lows will dip into the teens across the state Saturday and low to mid-20s Sunday.
